ALESSI Corkscrew Alessandro M. "Groningen" Limited Edition
Corkscrew Alessi Alessandro M. "Groningen" limited edition by designer Alessandro Mendini
The 2019 limited edition of the "Alessandro M." corkscrew bears the name "Groningen" to mark the 25th anniversary of one of the most fascinating architectural projects, the Groningen Art Museum in the Netherlands. Both works, the corkscrew and the museum building, were created by the same designer and architect... Alessandro Mendini.
The "Little Man" corkscrew was originally designed by Alessandro Mendini in 2003, perhaps because he was a little jealous of the great success of the Anna G. corkscrew he had previously designed for Alessi. The Anna G. corkscrew was in fact based on his friend and fellow designer Anna Gill. His "humorous" response to this was the "Alessandro M.", which he obviously created as a self-portrait.
Since 2003, Alessi has released at least one limited edition of this corkscrew every year in addition to the standard version, and each release has become a a highly sought after collector's item.
The bottle opener is a perfect gift with appreciation potential for all wine lovers, homeowners, newlyweds or anyone who loves a laugh.
