BLUNT METRO Collapsible Umbrella Ltd. Ed. by Frances Costelloe
The latest Limited Edition Blunt umbrella is a collaboration between Blunt and the talented North London-born and raised artist Frances Costelloe. She has always been a maker inspired by her family's skill in selling and restoring antique textiles and clothing. Working primarily in Indian ink on paper, she uses free-line drawing to revisit motifs such as the face, shells and the female form. Her homeware collections and art prints have been stocked in Liberty, and her work has been featured everywhere, from the Financial Times to Sunday Times Style.
The advanced umbrella construction is identical to the Blunt Metro umbrella with the bespoke fascinating aerodynamic shape, which means business when it comes to rain and storms. It won't ever let you down as this pocket umbrella withstands winds up to 120 km/h without bending due to its fascinating aerodynamic shape and advanced construction. It is an umbrella to last as it won't end up in the bin after the first wind gust. Due to a unique design feature, the radial tensioning system (RTS), Blunt umbrellas are unique in not having sharp edges. The RTS redirects, transfers, and distributes the effort used in opening the umbrella throughout the entire canopy surface. The high tension creates a stable, aerodynamic umbrella canopy, similar to a tensile roof, without sharp edge points. The 2-stage model is the strongest collapsible umbrella in the world! The foldable umbrella is light and small enough to be carried around in a handbag, backpack or briefcase. The innovative concept has already proven itself for many customers in everyday life and leisure activities
