JEAN-VIER | Kitchen Towel | Hortensias de Biarritz
Basque kitchen towel 'Hortensias de Biarritz' by Jean-Vier
The Hydrangea, Hortensia or Hortense is native to southern and eastern Asia. They flower in the mild climate of the Basque coast from early spring to late autumn. Especially the Hortensias of Biarritz are famous for their beauty and size. In their honour Jean-Vier created the Jacquard kitchen towel 'Hortensias de Biarritz' in rich pink tones.
The Pays Basque is the home of Creations Jean-Vier, the manufacturers of the famous cotton linen. The extremely high-quality cotton thread produces a fabric which is very absorbent and soft, but nevertheless hardwearing. The very precise and tight weaving process at Creations Jean-Vier produces fine precision motifs in a great variety of designs, minimises the risk of shrinkage and guarantees colours that stay vibrant. The kitchen towel is woven using 100% natural cotton and with its extra large size of 55 x 88 cm it can also be used as a table runner, a small tablecloth or an attractive wall decoration. It has undergone a specific treatment called finishing, which consists of a prewash and a drying and guarantees a remarkable quality and longevity. It won't shrink nor fade, is highly stain resistant and will stand up to years of use and washing.
