RITA BOTELHO | Ceramic Money Bank | DROP
Ceramic Money Bank 'Drop' from Portugal
The Drop money bank is a sweet and simple design based on the idea of falling. The ceramic money box is designed by Lisbon-based designer Rita Botelho, who likes to create pieces from common shapes, but always with a witty little twist to the underlying concept. For this object, the idea is gravity. The name and shape communicate how to interact with the money bank, and like a shiny drop of water that gets bigger and bigger until it falls and breaks on the ground, the Drop money bank is entirely enclosed. So once you've finished dropping coins into it, you drop the whole thing; essentially dropping the drop.

Yes, I know the description says how you have to drop the money box to open it... But only right at the end. And not everyone (well at least me) doesn't read full descriptions. So my point is the pictures and/or description should make it much clearer that this money box cannot be owned without breaking it! Such a waste of a beautiful object and not really what I was after for practical reasons.
