MoMA Casagami Solar Nightlight | Townhouse
The charming MoMA Casagami Solar Nightlight is an obvious way to introduce children to solar energy and, in a fun way, educate them about how renewable energy can be used as a power source for our homes.
At first, the house has to be constructed from pre-cut recycled blank white paperboard. It can be left undecorated as a minimalist object, or personalised with coloured pens, and little bits and pieces can be added. Then the adhesive solar panel has to be installed onto the roof, like with a real house.
During the day, the panel will harness and store the sun’s energy, enough to provide up to 5 hours of low-dimmed LED light after dark.
If you get more than one kit, you can build a small village. Your kids will love to go to bed at night, only to see the little house(s) and, of course, for the bedtime stories.
