Concrete wall clocks and other objects

I admit I like concrete. Some say that concrete is ugly or brutal or that it looks cheap. This preconception dates back to the poor use of concrete in some badly designed buildings in the last century. They were widely criticised and the name brutalism quickly stuck. That there was also great concrete work by architects like e.g. Carlo Scarpa, Le Corbusier or Tadao Ando is less know.

I don't think that a material in itself is ugly - or good looking - it depends how it is used. That counts also for concrete.
