Lauren Child is the Designer of Charlie and Lola. Asked about where the idea to Charlie and Lola came from she explains, she was once travelling in a train through Denmark and saw a little girl with very blonde hair and pointy eyes like an elf. This girl was colouring and sticking. While she was chatting non-stop her parents were trying very hard to read their books.
This girl became the role model for Lola and that's how Charlie and Lola began......
