Lexon Flip clock's alarm switches on and off simply by flipping it over
The Flip+ alarm clock from Lexon has one side marked ON, and one marked OFF. When ON is on top, it means that the alarm clock is activated. On this side there is also a snooze button and a light button. The set alarm time is displayed directly to the right of the actual time in the lower right corner of the LCD display.
When you flip the alarm clock over to the other side so that OFF is visible, the alarm is off. At the same time, also the current time displayed on the LCD ingeniously flips over; otherwise, it would be upside down now.
The intention behind this design is that the alarm clock forces you to react and thus ensures that you stay awake.
A touch-activated electro-luminous display means you can also read the time at night.
Brothers Adrian and Jeremy Wright, the duo behind DesignWright, are the creators of the award-winning Flip alarm clock and won the prestigious red dot design award as "best of the best" in 2013.
