Hand-carved Northern Red Cardinal Wall Hook by Wildlife Garden

The Northern Cardinal, is also known as the red cardinal or redbird. The male is a vibrant red, while the female is a reddish olive color. According to Christian tradition, the Christmas season celebrates the birth of Christ, who shed his blood to absolve human sins. A male cardinal's deep red at Christmas signifies the blood of Christ. The bird's name derives from the cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church, whose ecclesiastical robes and capes are red.
The animal head is carefully and intricately hand-carved from lime wood and painted with water-based acrylic paint. The attached strong metal hook can easily hold a school bag or a jacket, a towel or jewellery. Each head is a little different and, therefore, unique. The sturdy metal hook and the galah head together are approx. 11 cm high and 5 cm wide.
Most impressive are ensembles of several Wildlife Garden animal heads. For example, arrange a koala, a kookaburra and a cockatoo together with the galah.
A great gift idea for any occasion that brings a bit of wilderness and Christmas feeling into any room and is a guaranteed success!
